Leprosy Home Report

Report on Leprosy Home Visit...

We were able to travel to Ekpene Obom Leprosy home today. God granted us safety on our trip to the facility and we were not hurt by any means despite the unsafe circumstances to get there.

Due to the communal crisis in the village, the lepers gathered at the QIC church in the village waiting for us. We met with some difficulty as the authorities could not welcome everyone to come out. We had a time of fellowship with them including opening prayers, singing songs of praise and worship, and my wife, Comfort, gave words of exhortation, speaking on the topic of God’s love. We also observed prayer sessions.

The lepers’ children were in attendance as well. We had a good time encouraging all of them through God’s precious Word. Because of the crisis in the village, everything has ceased, and the children are not able to go to school. Besides this, there are so many challenges facing these children. They need help acquiring writing materials so that once school has reopened, they can return. They need school uniforms and school shoes. Other major needs include medicine and sewing machines for those lepers who are learning sewing skills. Some of the lepers need artificial legs and leper shoes.

The lepers were glad and excited for our timely visit as well as the provision of the food items we presented to them. Life is difficult, but glory and honor belong to our wonderful Father, our great Provider, who is always ready to supply our needs. God has used you to supply the needs of many lepers today in Nigeria.

We continue to thank you for the great assistance given out to many individuals and families in Nigeria. God will surely reward you. Know that we do not cease praying for you~ Nsibiet Nelson, Nigeria
